Read this article for a good introduction to this complex subject. If you're experiencing some of these signs, it may be time to call in the professionals.
The next step, once you believe your home, business, or historic site may fit the profile of a haunted location, is time to start keeping a journal of activities. Record the date, time of day, witnesses present, duration of event, and a detailed description of the event (what you saw/heard/felt/smelled, etc.). This type of record will be invaluable to any subsequent investigation and will save time for both you and the team.

No! Never allow anyone to investigate your place who charges for their services. This includes house cleansings, clearings, and blessings. You may, if you like, provide refreshments (meal, snacks) for the team but it is not required. And NEVER pay anyone to remove a curse.
We've been doing this for many years, both as a team and as individuals. We are not kids looking for a cheap thrill. We are well-educated professionals who can be trusted with your confidential information and we treat your home, business, or historic site with the utmost respect. Several R.I.P. investigators hold "Secret" or "Top Secret" Government security clearances. We all have at least basic scientific knowledge. Some team members have specialized training and abilities such as engineering, law enforcement, and occult knowledge so we represent the full spectrum of abilities and beliefs. If there's an "other than paranormal" explanation for what you're experiencing, we will find it and help you fix the problem. If it turns out to be paranormal, we will work with you to resolve the situation.
We request that you complete and return a "Client Questionnaire," which asks about the history of the location, as well as detailed information about family members, beliefs, previous paranormal experiences, and much more. All this information is kept strictly confidential and will NEVER be released without your written permission.
Not unless you want to be on TV and certainly not without your permission. We may ask certain clients for permission to do a filmed investigation at their location as an episode of our paranormal series, "The R.I.P. Files". But, if this is not something you're interested in, we are committed to protecting your privacy and will not release photos, audio recordings, video, or any other information without your permission. Our clients know that they can trust us completely and that they – not a TV show - are our first priority.
Yes, we do, and we have a very effective clearing methodology based on Western Mystery School rituals. We also empower our clients through education and we follow-up until each case is resolved to the client''s satisfaction. Several team members have extensive backgrounds in metaphysics and we are equipped to deal with just about any type of paranormal activity that you may be experiencing and we will teach you what to do to ensure that the activity does not recur.
It's usually 4 to 6 hours, depending on the activity level. We may need to return and we will, of course, schedule all investigations at a date/time convenient for you. What do I need to do to prepare?
We ask that you refrain from talking about the investigation ahead of time, either to friends/family or even within the location itself. We''ve found that often the activity decreases when the word gets out that the "ghost busters" are coming. Please remember that having a paranormal investigation done at your place is not an excuse to throw a party! Also, please ensure that children and pets are not present (unless they''re a focus of the activities that are happening).
Of course, it's your property. However, we ask that you NOT invite friends, family, clergy, etc., as the activity apparently decreases with the number of people present. It also introduces additional noise contamination which makes it harder to distinguish between background noises and something that might be paranormal.
We may use a Ouija board in a particular location – but not if the client is opposed to it. Quite honestly, the Ouija board is simply a tool and it can be used for good or ill. There is a type of hysteria among many paranormal investigators regarding the Ouija board and, in our view, it is entirely unjustified. In fact, we have an ongoing experiment in which we are testing the Ouija board as a tool for verifiable positive communications. In short, the Ouija board is not Satanic and Parker Brothers (manufacturer) does not represent the Devil. It no more creates a portal for evil spirits to speak through than does holding an audio recorder in your hand and saying "Is there anybody here who wants to talk to us?" Like all techniques and tools, it must be used with caution – but there are ways to ensure that it is used safety and we always observe the proper protocols. As far as mediums, yes, we have two psychic mediums on the team and most R.I.P. team members have some sort of psychic abilities; however, we require corroborating evidence for any statements/feelings/observations made by our mediums and/or team members. Otherwise, this type of information is interesting – but not conclusive and certainly not "proof."
Yes, we will provide you with a copy of any evidence captured during our investigation.
